It's been a while since I played and I know the softcap on quick is 250, that more than that will not increase swing speed and the faster you swing the less you hit for each swing but I seem to remember that if you had more than 250 it would still reduce the damage you did. Am I remembering this correctly?

Someone recently posted in a thread that overcapping quick will decrease damage. I always thought it did not though. Need someone who actually knows to reply.

Plenty of people will have opinions, but I doubt anyone actually "knows". I bet not even Mythic could figure out the code by now.
