Just blew my bounty points on an artifact...

and like a noob, I dropped the artifact on a sphynx thinking it would activate. Now the artifact and my bounty points are gone lol. Is there anyway to get the artifact back or my bounty points?
I only had 1.4k bounty points and had to buy the book also.

I figured it out with the help of another player. I'm so used to things being noobed down from WoW :-)
