The pinata aka the caravan is a lag causing disaster. It was a lag causing disaster 5 years ago when Mythic took them out of the game and they are just as bad today. These have no place in RVR. They are causing too much lag and need to be removed again, or they need to be put in a small area away from keeps and towers near each realm.
It has been about two months and they are still here causing horrible lag and they shouldn't be.

I agree, but what bothers me even more than the lag is how little impact the caravans and all the other Frontier quests have on RvR action. I know that Mythic does not have many devs left, but they have no creativity when it comes to RvR quests. Fighting guards/mobs is not very likely to result in fun encounters with enemy players.
