So i may get mauled for asking this but i am at a dead end and Elgars forums are not working for me. So here it is


On a few characters 2 that i know of. Everytime I click on ElTrack i get a Run Time Error 5 then a multitude of errors then my client crashes.


So i researched as most of you programing type scream that is what "normal users should do"


I read Elgars site He stated that:


The only possible reasons for this are due to your decal install.


You have either...


A bad install of decal

Your missing vital installed components.

Your message and memlocs.xml's are not updated


So my solution was to unistall decal. Re-installed. It installed without errors.

Re-install Eltank. agian no errors

Turn off anyother plugin that could cause problems.(leaving only eltank up)


Went through Elgars links to update VBruntimes and MSI's and what ever other links he has.


Made sure that windows was fully updated. It is. Rebooted.


Same error same chars.


So there you have it. I am stuck and am requesting assistance please

Are you useing decal 3?

The crash when activating ELTrack is due to a bad registry entry for that character. What entry that is I dont know as no ones been able to send a comparison failed and working registry file.


If it crashed just opening ELTrack then I have no idea.

Ouch, didnt know you didnt know which key it was. I could have got that info had I known. Before I just exported everything under the key, changed the name of the toon that needed it enabled and imported. :\ Was easier then trying to drill down to which feild it was causing the problem lol.


I can get the info once I resub (not sure when I will).


I actually got it narrowed down, 99% sure, if you want the info Elgar. I would just say to change it in the registry, but not sure if the tracking coord window positions would be created on the fly or not and if they are not there in the registry with it enabled what kind of issues would come up.


Also to make sure I am thinking of is the correct issue. To the OP, your talking about trying to enable Eltrack, and you get the error you click ok to, but there is tons of red errors scrolling in the chat box right?

Yes Nerice that is the error i am working with.


Thank you ElgarL for the responce. If finding the registry is something i can be walked through i do take instructions well enough i believe to obtain that info. So if i may be of assistance in find this info out please feel free to instruct me.

Do you have any toons that it is enabled on (from your first post seems so)? If so can give you an easier way to do it, if not can still get it working.


Also the question will stall you a bit from fixing it in case Elgar wants the exports to compare to speak up. Thought about just telling you, but if he really needs the info dont want to mess his chance up of getting it, and dont want to say to just send it to him either in case he dont want it.

It was doing that for me too all I did to stop it was to click on eltrack before the start of tank (hitting the pause-break) seemed to work for me.
