I used a link in another thread to dl decal 3.0, it installs fine, but when i go to start up decal i get this message, This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. denagent.exe is whats failing..........any ideas?

I really hate to make the natives restless on these boards, but I'm having this same exact problem.


I don't consider myself to be ignorant, but I clicked on both of those links that were put in this thread, followed ALL instructions to a "T" and I'm still getting this darn error.


I posted this same problem on the boards those links referred me to and nobody has bothered to help.


I've uninstalled Decal and all parts of it at least 10 times now, only to reinstall, follow the steps carefully and when I click on the Decal icon, it still gives me this error: This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Oh and yes.....I copied the MSVCR71.dll from my AC folder to my Decal folder. Does not fix the problem.


Please, all I'm asking for is a little help....not a lot, just a little. Any ideas??

The dll is in your AC directory, copy it into your Decal directory. If that doesn't work, try copying it to your windows system32 directory.
