Virindi Censor is meant to be a companion to VCS, though both plugins may run either alone or together. For integration with VCS, VCS version 3.2.0.1+ is ***REQUIRED***.


Virindi Censor provides three functions:


-Filter bad words: Checks all incoming text against both a built-in set of bad words and a custom set (defined in custombadwords.txt). All bad words found are replaced by #$(*^&s.

-Remove green 'link' text: removes the green reply link text from all incoming messages, including the links at the beginning of tells and open chat. It also removes any uses of the green text that other players use in their messages. This option is disabled by default.

-Add green text to names in channels: this option makes the names of people who are talking in chat channels (alleg,general,trade,lfg,roleplay) show up with green links the same as if they had sent you a tell. This feature adds some convenience to chat channels for those that are fond of the green text.

By the way, words in the custom list must be all lower case. I'm going to fix that later when I have the chance so it's truly case-insensitive. Right now as long as you make the word in the file lowercase it'll catch all cases of the word.


People might want this just for the channel chat linking, too, I hope. I think it's a useful feature myself...
