When i open task manager it says that AC Client.exe is using 200 MB of Ram ( nothing new even if dumb ), but the allocated memory is up to 520 Mb: when i close AC Client the allocated memory drops down to 200 MB.


Where are the remaining 120 MB?


No other operation changes or closes when i close AC Client: is it possible that the new client is trying to "cheat" my task manager saying it uses less then it does for real?


It is weird and it started with last patch.

Many times. Known issue. Actually it started long before last patch.

Memory leak is old news. I read a really great post about it on one of the server boards about a month ago. Very detailed information about it and suggestions on where the could be. It was linked to from the official forums (how I found it) but as far as I know it was dismissed by the devs.


Resources being what they are for the AC1 team, the code will likely never be looked at.

Before patch i didn't notice it or maybe it was already there but not with a so huge size of ram leaked.
