I figured out how to hot key the ust but can not seem to get it to select salvage.

P.S. I looked at the other forums but could not find the topic my search skills are saddly lacking.

The fact that we live at the bottom of a deep gravity well,
on the surface of a gas covered planet going around a nuclear fireball 90 million miles away
and think this to be normal is obviously some indication of how skewed our perspective tends to b

Think in the treasure config window, you need to enter the salvage string, i.e., how Find It! should salvage what workmanship (WS) of materials into what bags. Some examples:

1111111111

This would salvage all WS into the same bag

1111111112

This would salvage WS 1-9 into one bag, and WS1 0 into its own bag.

1111111123

WS 1-8 into its own bag, WS 9 into a second bag, and WS 10 into a third bag.

That is my understanding of how it works bsed on Gouru's posting here: http://forums.acdev.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3843&highlight=salvage

Also note that Find It! only Usts stuff it actually finds and picks up. It is not a general usting plugin. That's on my 'someday' list if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

It also won't ust anything that has multiple "hits" against the config.

For example, if you have a gold nekode that hits both the Salvage config and the Damage config you won't ust it even though you may want to. You'll have to ust it manually if you don't want to keep it.

Correct. It's design is not so much as a UST utililty, as a quick way to ust the stuff the Find It! picks up ONLY for it's salvage value. It does not try to make any value judgements for you, assuming that 'salvage' is the least rule, an item you will pick up when you don't want it for any other reason.

The other reasons always take priority over salvage.
