For now is just DIRC without any VCS dependencies.


I re-named it becuase several reasons


1. It does not require the VCS Plug-in

2. I plan on some new options and updates to the IRC code.

3. Limit the confusion between the 2 releases

4. I just wanted to be cool and put an x on the end like the LTx guys

Is this based on dircal?


If so 1) where's the source, and 2) why didn't you just contact lane so that you could use the sourceforge repository?


Seems like a waste to fork the project just to get it updated for decal3

The project was already forked by Virindi-Inquisitor many months ago.

The source is the exact same from Virindi-Inquisitor's without the VCS stuff.


SF is a headache, I have tried to get help using it about 100x in the past with no luck.


If Lane has a problem with this, I will remove it, no questions asked.

Saying the source is the same minus whatever doesn't really cut it in this case. Dircal is GPL'd code. If you're distributing a version of it, you must also provide the source used to create that version.


Now that you mention it, I do remember the virindi-chat fork. Given what was done with that version, a fork was appropriate, but I still think a fork just to update the code to the current decal is a shame...

I fail to see why you concider this a fork just to update it to the current Decal when


1. The Decal 2 version of SF code does not complie

2. This version is back to it's orginal form without the VI fork.
