Yes, it is possible. Not sure if anyone has an AC Tools one and I don't know of a Decal Plugin that does that.

im still trying to reanimate U.S.T. (c# .net version) for actual decal. I got only 25-30% ready at the moment.
A bot function to use these functions would be very easy...

TBU told me there is an ACTools macro for a salvage bot, but he hasn't tried it out yet.
I'll see if I can find it and post a link.
(edit)- I took a look around and didn't see anyhting current that would do it.
I miss UST and will be glad when its back, thats for sure.
