Hey i have a pentium 4 a 1.8ghz pc 512 ram and geforce 4200 64mb graphics card i recently installed ac again after a couple of years and installed the latest alpha decall.

over the last week i have been experiencing really really bad frame rates we are talking 10-20 on the lowest possible settings thats with el tank and find it running.

The game would also freeze for a few seconds in randomly in combat with the frame rate hitting 1-5


However last night i started ac without decall running and now on the highest possible settings i am getting a standard 40-60 fps which only dips to about 20-25 during combat with no freezes.


I thought this might have something to do with the plugins i was running so i started decall up with no plugins enabled and it still seriously effected my frame rate.


so ya anyone had a similar issue like this and know wat i could possibly do to fix it.

i dont mind not having most of decall plugins just that it is very helpful when im looting to have loot tracking plugin so i know if there a major or a good item around.

beta, massive ammounts of memory for huds, your machine just barely a notch above min ac standards.

Eventually Decal development will come out with a stable version that is not a memory and CPU hog. In the meantime, there are not many options other than the smartass ones:

1) Try not to use many plugins

2) Do not use Huds

3) Upgrade your PC

4) Do not use Decal

A new video card with at least 128MB of RAM would do wonders.

HUDs are already on the new system. They are the least costly on memory of all the displayable items in decal.


Top of the list are the GUI's.


However you say you tried it without any plugisn active/loaded so I'd suggest you post an export.
