Having heavy lag issues while dual logged to the point where lag lasts 4-5 seconds and armor, etc starts turning white. I don't think it's my system - I have 2 gigs ram, nvidia 7800 card and can run two EVE accounts at full detail with no lag. I am running decal.


Should I change the ports? Right now I think dual has them running on the same one. What should I change one (both?) of them to? Anything to changing them other than changing the port numbers on the AC Dual launch?

White armor means your computer is running out of video ram. Try turning down the resolution, texture detail, draw distance, etc in AC. Decal currently uses a lot of video ram, so it's probably more taxing on your system than EVE. The amount of video ram used by decal depends on what plugins you run. Plugins with lots of tabs and/or huds, like El Tank, LifeTank, or GoArrow will tend to use more video ram.


I have a 7800 GT, and I personally start experiencing this if I'm dual logging and one character is in a very populated spot, or if I'm triple logging. Turning down the resolution and texture detail almost always helps.

Wow, that is suprising. Sounds like I have an excuse to complete my SLI system now. Never thought AC would tax my system more than EVE...


Thanks for the help Digero! It seemed to happen the most when I had one or more of the accounts in the marketplace so what you're saying sounds spot on. I'll try to tweek it a bit tonight, then I'll get on Newegg and order a 2nd 7800gt.
