Author Topic: Is the XP Chain stuff on TreeStats 2 still useful? [Locked]

Since years ago turbine nerfed the chain stuff, is there any good reason to still have the chain stuff in TS2? It'd make the UI and the database a lot simpler if it was nukable.

The only thing I would like about it is if it could calculate the % of passup the patron recieves....say vassel makes 1mil and patron recived 800k, showing an 80% passup rate.


Other than that....nope...don't need it, especially since the counters on how much the vassel has sent up is stuck at the old max of 4 bil.

Treestats also used to be very useful for keep track of rank trees however sice database dies every 2 months = not useful anymore.

So, you'd have no objection to removing the key vassal thing and all that, and just switching to a patron-only system?

I'm not sure how that would work....I suppose since you are tracking total xp sent to the patron you can get a idea that way of the percentage the patron processes. That would work I guess....but can you also fix the display of how much the vassel has sent the patron instead of maxing out at 4bil?


I realize that might be difficult since the client has that maxed also...but if you are keeping a running total of what was recieved it might work...anyone over the 4bil mark would be off but anyone starting under it could be tracked

Decal only knows what the client does. Thus since the client doesn't know about vassal xp beyond 4bil, then neither does Decal. The AC server simply doesn't provide enough information for a plugin to figure it out.
