Because of a change at my ISP, I decided to release what I have so we can get the data flowing again.


There are a lot of changes in 1.1. Here is a list:


The offline viewer now shows coordinates with a crosshair cursor to help pinpoint a spawn.

Map defaults to full size now.

Clicking on a mob in the tracked list will select that mob.

MobTracker reads its server config from the map server.

MobTracker now shows server population on login. (Why? Cause I like to see it. Doesn't hurt anything.)

MobTracker now supports several chat bar commands:


/MOB HELP - Display this menu

/MOB NOARROWS - Turns off the 3D arrows

/MOB SHOWARROWS - Shows the ingame 3D arrows

/MOB NOMAP - Turns off the ingame spawn map

/MOB MAP - Shows the ingame spawn map

/MOB ANON - Does not send your server & name with spawn data

/MOB NOANON - Sends your server & name with spawn data

/MOB ARROWCOLOR <ColorName> - Sets the arrow color by color name

/MOB ARROWALPHA <Alpha%> - Sets the arrow transparency

/MOB MAPPOS <X> <> - Sets the position of the map hud's upper left corner

/MOB MAPALPHA <Alpha%> - Sets the map hud transparency

/MOB LARGEMAP Sets the map size to maximum

/MOB SMALLMAP Sets the map size to half that of maximum


The biggest new feature: TRACKER TRACKING!


Mobtracker will now send server and character name with its data. The server then checks to see if that spawn at that location has been seen before. If not, it awards 1 point to the tracker. If that mob/location is already known, no points are given. If a NEW mob, never before seen anywhere, is sent, the discoverer gets 10000 points for being the first! I will be creating an automatic system to update the stats of the trackers by server and those lists will be available on the mobtracker site.


THIS CAN BE TURNED OFF. I certainly dont want to force anyone to disclose themselves, so you can just use the /MOB ANON command to render your contributions anonymous before they are even sent to the server. There is a purple message that displays on login and it will tell you if your contributions are tracked or anonymous, so there are no suprises.


Additionally, MobTracker now records the dungeon information for spawns and I will be working on a system to match those up by name so we can have lists of mobs by dungeon and dungeons can be listed where certain mobs are found.

Nuts cheated myself out of 10000 points by running through Xarabydun when the plugin was first officially released.

But in all seriousness this feature sounds a bit like a LONG dead plugin that awarded points based on the area you covered and if someone else had been there recently. Only this time its with spawns.
