Asheron's Call quits after server selection.

I downloaded AC onto my friend's computer. It downloads & installs fine, but when I launch it, log in, and choose my server, the game just quits. I'm back on my desktop with nothing running...at this time, AC isn't listed on my application list in task manager.
Anyone know why?

I get that, too. Honestly, I just go through the process again and it starts fine.
