Ive been trying to get decal/plug-ins working on this stupid laptop. From what I can tell, decal works right, but any plugin I try to run bomb AC..

are 2 of the main progies that I use and well decal works without any plugins, dont work with either of em loaded solo or both.


When I installed Decal I installed the net2.0 framework, and the new directX. Any others that I need and forgot?

How much memory on the laptop?

only 512 for ram


but I dont see how memory would bomb AC when trying to get a character in game. I might be able to understand it with memory hog plug-ins ( yes I know LTx is) but I cant get any plug ins to work.

If you're on a laptop, it's likely that your graphics chip uses "shared" memory, meaning it uses some of your 512mb of system RAM rather than it's own dedicated memory chips.


Turbine recommends 512mb of system ram PLUS 128mb of graphics memory just to run AC properly. Decal uses a lot of graphics memory in addition to that. Unless you actually have a real graphics card with it's own memory in your laptop, then lack of RAM is likely your problem.


Posting a Decal export would help to clarify the situation.

Ltx is not that big of a decal plugin..
