Is Decal still in development ?

Just wondering , i remember there was some talk about an enhanced way of displaying things some time ago.
As it is now , it is quite a resource eater.
I do get about 4-5 times more fps without decal , i didnt expect it to be that drastic.
Fortunately , it still is more then enough fps for to be able to play with decal

I looked again at the decal forums , couldn't find anything there.

It's still being developed. Not as rapidly as some people would like, but doing something like NVS (New View System) is a major undertaking and most of us have work and more important things to do most of our time.
That isn't to say no one is working on it, but it's really not a super high priority for most of the developers.
