I was trying to get vTank working in a windowed client when something happened. AC crashed rather splendidly, and after that I get an error trying to load Virindi Tank. I have tried removing all trace of decal and all plugins and reinstalling clean, but still no go. Here is what gets written to the vtank-error.txt file:

============================================================================

19.5.2008 21:37:28

PC == null? False

C == null? False

VTank version: 0.3.0.14

Error: Error getting setting from database

Source: uTank2

Stack: at ac.a(String A_0)

at uTank2.PluginCore.ab()

at x.i()

at x.o()

at uTank2.PluginCore.a(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)

Inner: Setting not found in default database

Inner Stack: at ac.a(String A_0)

============================================================================

Any clues to how to sort this out are appreciated.

Um, yeah, that happens when you aren't running it in English. I still don't know why, .NET is kinda annoying like that.

Interesting... I assume you mean non-English keyboard settings? I noticed my DHS keybinds survived the uninstall + reinstall procedure somehow, could that make a difference? I'll have to locate the registry keys that they get persisted in and do another reinstall of everything and make sure the reg is clean.

The odd part is that it worked for quite a while, then as a result of that crash it just suddenly stopped.

Well, having never used a non-English OS I really have no idea how it works. Somehow .NET decides your language is something else, though.

Update:

Changing keyboard (language bar) settings did not help

Changing the user locale did help

Haven't tried changing the system default locale but not the user locale yet. I'll look into that and report.

Update: changing my personal locale back to Finnish after having changed it to US and updated the system default locale to US did not break vTank.
