Anyone have a card that will run more than one instance of AC on a Radeon card?

I have dual 8800 GTXs that can run many clients at once, but I'm building a secondary system that I want to put a newer radeon card in.

I tried a 3850, but all I can get is one instance to actually work, so if you have a radeon card that does this, could you tell me what it is and how many clients you can run on it?

Many thanks for the info!

I've run 3 client's at once on my Diamond Stealth X1550. It's an AGP based card as I have a somewhat older system atm, but I doubt the bus would make a difference. I've done so on both Win 2000 and XP (as well as running multiple clients on older ATI based cards as old as a ALL In Wonder 9000). I actually went with ATI over Nvidia to avoid the skybox glitch.

The skybox bug is really annoying, but i bought the cards when they were released before the bug was known.

I like the way Radeons look, especially in AC, it is a subtle difference, but anyway.

With the 3850, I thought it would have plenty of power, but on the same system with the 8800's where I can log in up to six clients, when I run the second client, the first one completely blacks out and is unrecoverable. Just wanted to see what others were using that did work. I don't have system with AGP, although I could probably find that chip on a nice cheap card somewhere today.

Thanks again.

I suspect but cannot prove that the higher-newer version using PCI-E should work fine. They also use a Unified Driver similiar to Nvidia's so it's not super likely there'd be issues.

I have an old 9800pro 256MB AGP radeon that doesn't have problems running 2 clients (no idea how many more it could run). I do lose one of the clients to a black screen once in a while, but it's not common. Of course I'm sure that doesn't help you at all lol.
