Just returning to AC after 6+ years of withdrawal. I got Decal downloading and running, and got the most recent version of Alinco running. It seems to be running very well with just one problem and one question:


1. Since I am starting from scratch I am trying to lower the restrictions on the weapons that Alinco will find for me (ie: working my way up to max-damage weapons) but I can't seem to get it to find ANY weapons. I am quite computer literate and have gotten most of the other features of Alinco working without problem but it just doesn't seem to want to find weapons for me. I have made sure that it is looking for the correct type of weapon, and that there are almost no restrictions on it, and even set the minimum damage very low, and it still is not finding things that it seems it should. Anyone have any suggestions/guides/etc for how to set this up? Is there just something I'm missing?


2. Also, I have it set to find various AL pieces of armor, specifically I tried to set it up to look for AL 200+ Hauberks. I checked the boxes for coverage of Chest, Abdomen, Upper Arms, and Lower Arms; but it keeps finding pieces of armor that cover only part of this area (ie: braces, breastplates, etc). Is there a way to make it ONLY find items that cover all of the areas I check rather than ANY of them?

1) Having similar trouble. It seems that Alinco is demanding a wield req before it notifies on an item. I have tried leaving the wield req blank, and with 0 wield req, but neither works.


That said, I am having no trouble with it finding weapons that do have a wield req.

Well, the only solution I have found so far for my question about the armor is to add "Hauberk" as a required part of the name, but I assume that means I could miss any armor that covers the chest, abdomen, upper arms, and lower armor if it isn't called a Hauberk (not even sure what all the options are..."Shirt" doesn't cover lower arms right? Are there even any loot armors that cover those 4 areas that won't be named "Hauberk"?


Still no luck on the weapons...


Has anyone been able to get Alinco to search for weapons that don't have a wield requirement? As I recall I have gotten it to find bows or crossbows that don't have a wield requirement (but now that I think about it I'm not entirely sure about that...will need to test this evening when I get home). But I know I have not had any luck getting it to find melee weapons.

I have double-checked and I am able to get Alinco to find missile weapons like bows and xbows that don't have a wield requirement.


Does anyone have Alinco successfully finding melee weapons for them? (even ones with a wield requirement)?


Does the Alinco author have any kind of support area for feedback and/or problems?

Alinco finds wield req 250+ melee weapons for me without a problem.


One thing to watch out for is the magic req you have - the default is '1' spell. I had to manually change this for each melee weapon rule I made. Try setting it to '0' and see if it works for you.
