I am running Vista 64. I got decal to work but I can't get ACDclient to set up. During set up it says it needs a version of .Net framework. I have framework but for 64 bit not 32 (or x86) When I try to set up .net x86 it won't run as it's not compatible on a 64 bit system. I did get .NET Compact Framework Version 2.0 End-User Redistributable to run but ACDclient doesn't recognize it.

So how do I get a .net that Dualclient will accept?

Thanks in advance for any help!

If I remember correctly, DualClient wants .NET Framework 1.1 ... it is on the .NET Framework page as a downloadable. If you look down the left side of Drakier's site, you will see it down toward the bottom of the page, click "setup" and it will get you where you need to be

okies, downloaded .net framework 1.1 from site per your suggestion and it worked! Thanks Ashake! But still have an issue, I need 3 files that won't copy over to AC2 folder for second client using the copy files in dualclient, they are:

Client_local_English.dat

Client_Cell_1.dat

Client_portal.dat

I can't seem to find those files in the original AC client, but remember I am computer stupid so need some help (learning a lot today though! )

Are these files hidden? If so how do I "show" hidden files.

If I can find and copy these files over myself, everything should work fine.

And for anyone using Vista 64, what I found was you have to Disable UAC to set up ACdual/copy files and then enable UAC once all of that is complete to make AC work. (go to start menu, type in msconfig in run/start search, select tools, scroll down to disable UAC and launch it. requires reboot each time you change back and forth) Hopefully that will save someone the time I spent flipping back and forth, heh.

You don't have to disable uac to get anything to work. If you follow the instructions that have been posted here about 100000 times, it works without fail. Mainly don't install anything to c:\program files or c:\program files (x86). Instead, create a c:\games folder and install everything to there.

Initially I thought I tried that and I couldn't get it to work in a My/games folder. But good news, copied the files I needed off of my old computer, made sure all AC and dual client files were in each folder and now everything is working just fine in Programs x86.

So thanks for the help everyone, I really appreciate it

I might have taken the long way about it, but I learned a lot, heh.
