I just reinstalled AC on a clean install of XP. No decal.

When I start it I get to the World selection screen and hit next and the window just closes.

Anybody else ever experience this

sounds like the launcher doesn't know where your installation of AC is at (acclient.exe)

when you click "Next" after the "World Select" page, it launches the acclient.exe with the special key parameters. If it can't find your acclient.exe then it will just close because it tries to launch it and doesn't know any better.

*shrug*

I don't know why it would do it on a fresh install if both the OS and AC were cleanly installed (as in they didn't ever exist on that system before).

If there are residual files because you installed OVER a previous install, that could cause issues.
