Heya guys, Im having problems trying to get asherons call to work on my other computer. I had it working about 3 months ago then didn't use it for awhile. When i tried to log in to AC the other day on the computer i got an error that said " Client_Portal.Dat appears to be Corrupted! " Check that they exist and that you have permission to write to them " and fails to launch the game. I tried a few things and couldn't get it to work so then i just uninsulated and reinstalled and it still didn't work.


So then i reformatted the whole computer and reinstalled AC and it still gives me the error. I checked to make sure i have the folder/file in my ToD directory and, i do. My Firewall is off. Nothing else installed on the computer. I'm running windows xp.


If anyone has any ideas on what could do to fix this problem that would be great, thanks for your help.

First off, have you tried the Turbine support forum for suggestions?

Are you going through a firewall or something that may have the file cached?
