If you are a person who has a great deal of desktop space and would like your chat to be off the AC 3d window that is what Xnuchat will do for you.


To install simply unzip it in the location of your choice, start up Decal's add, browse to the location you unzipped and select XnuTalk.dll.

I don't have the source available yet as I blew up my computer fooling with registry stuff trying to figure out how to have Decal install the plugin when an installer was run. I should have it (the source and a video detailing how to use the app) up sometime on Saturday.

One way to create installers is using Advanced Installer. There is a free version, that lacks some features, but is good enough for decal plugins. You can get it at advancedinstaller.com

If you need a template you can use http://svn.ranta.info/repos/decaldev/trunk/Screenr/Screenr/bin/Installer/screenr.aip or any other of the aip files in that repository - remember to adjust the GUID

I have Visual Studio Pro 2005 so I can create the installer.

The issue I was having was figuring out how to force the installer to put put the dll in the correct place in the registry (when in the incorrect place you can break things it seems ).

I have added this plugin to my list of other people's plugins ( http://www.virindi.net/vstats/otherplugins.php ), and it is now visible with the Virindi Decal Plugin Updater tool. Currently I have the website link pointed to this thread. Do you plan to make a site for your plugins?
