Thank you for the great plugin....love it!


I have a few noob questions that I didn't see the answer for and not sure if I missed something:


1. Is it possible to bane if you are an Item magic only melee? I don't have any other magics and use mana potions to cast my banes. I tried adding the banes i wanted, adding the mana potions to the "consumables" list, and then set vtank to buff. It started buffing fine, but then ran out of mana and I got messages that I was out of comps...assuming no foci for life magic. I set the recover mana option to 25% but it never tried to use the potions. It spammed I was out of comps then my char just stood there and waited (assuming for my mana to regen naturally?)


2. Did I miss a setting when it started baning and when monsters spawned, vtank did not stop buffing even though I checked off the "buff when idle" option. I had assumed that would allow me to buff when I was doing nothing, but then go into attack mode if faced with a monster.

1. VTank does not currently use potions when in magic mode. It always assumes you can cast spells to regain h/s/m. This may be fixed in a future version.

2. It does work the way you think it should. However, it may not always allow you to avoid buffing when monsters are around. If you have a heavy spawn that causes you to keep fighting for most of the 20 minutes before your buffs run it, there won't be any idle time to recast things. VTank only idly recasts buffs within 20 minutes of them dropping (this is configurable).

I buff my item only melee with vtank, but I use the wondrous orb. Buffing pauses when I run out of mana, then I manually use the orb, manually go into peace mode, then vtank heals me and continues buffing.


It's not optimal, but it works.


But you do get the whole not casting creature buffs spam for each spell when you start the cycle.


A do not cast creature spells button would really be helpful.

thanks for the feedback....still amazing what it can do. I suppose i can do the manual thing or just bite the bullet and get life magic...just sucks to use 12 skill credits simply to buff lol. My gear is full creature/life magic and only time i need magic is to bane in eo.


Maybe i should spec mana conversion ;-P
