I had to add the following section to spelldata.xml to get Alinco3Buffs to cast level 8 Spirit Drinker:

Thanks. I had taken a look to see if that was possible but was confused by the lack of Spirit Drinker. Seems kind of weird that it works with level VII without an entry in the xml.

It works for exactly level 7 Spirit Drinker. I looked at the source, and 3259 is hardcoded in several places.

I tried the above patches to spelldata.xml and now blood drinker works. But defender and heart seeker 8's still don't work. Anyone have to spell ids for these?

Heart seeker 8 was already in alinco buffs. The 3 that it didn't have were defender, blood drinker and spirit drinker. I would double check to make sure you made changes in the right places. It's been working great for me.
