I'm looking for suggestions of how to effectively use Vtank as a melee toon.

My main toon is Unarmed, and using Vtank for combat macroing could be downright dangerous due to the toon being pulled around any which way. UA works best at the fastest swing speed which results in two things. First is that the toon will get pulled forward as the creature dies, and secondly the toon will again move forward while taking 2-3 swipes at the corpse. While facing mobs of creatures, the toon will soon be surrounded and subject to attack from the rear. This is deadly unless the creatures can't touch me already.

Its pretty obvious that this macro is for mages and certainly wasn't intended for Unarmed toons. So, has anyone out there figured out an effective way to make this work for UA's in dangerous situations, where having your back to a wall is necessary?

I use it with an axer, on fastest swing, no problem.

I just got my UA guy who is a full tinker - meaning very little defense skill to 275 using Vtank and mostly EO. He is trained in melee and trained in magic D, the only fighting spec is UA. I swing at full power - does it really matter that it is not optimal? The biggest reason I use full power is my decal crashes less frequently with fewer swings than it does when I run my UA at full speed.

I've been doing Rippers for at least 80 levels with this guy. The only time he dies is when decal crashes.
