After reading the rather large Virindi Tank thread, wiki, and realizing there is no help for Alinco 3 I decided I need to post a thread here and hope for replies.

Can anyone please just simplify the connection between VT and Alinco and how to get them to work together? I created the whole loot.lost profile, but VT ignores it. Do specific folders need to be made and do the .los, etc need to be placed in certain folders? I'm not really understanding on how to make the connection between the two.

Any help would be appreciated.

YOU must have the bundled version of VT


go to the profiles tab, click on New button for 3rd drop down box to the right of check box for Enable looting.


you get a line of a /vt loot new[space] in the main chat box window. You enter: alinco.los{carriage return}


now when you 'enable' looting, that profile for looting lets VT know to let alinco handle looting.


you could have just entered in the chat box yourself /vt loot new alinco.los(carriage return) then enabled the loot box.

Actually, that part is not true. The standalone version supports lootplugins. As stated in the FAQ:

"ou must also have either the Virindi Tank Bundle release or Virindi Tank version 0.3.1.0 or later."

sorry, VI and i should have known that over that last issue with alinco3 installed by not loading and not able to make a alinco.los profile only the older version.
