So I've convinced my fiance to play AC.... it's only taken 3 years but yay for me!!! Well, I downloaded AC on her laptop and got her started with a new trial account. It's all downloaded and installed but now when I go to her log in, it loads that, i choose the server and then nothing. Acclient.exe does NOT load. I've even tried to open just the acclient.exe file through task manager and i can't do anything.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Need to run the "dxdiag" command and see on the Display tab if the "Direct3D Acceleration" is "Enabled" ..

The dxdiag can be run from the Start Menu/Run. If it is disabled, the aclauncher will run for logging in .. but the acclient will never start. And there is no error message from the acclient when this happens. The aclauncher finish the login and just disappears.

Either the graphics card cannot do Direct3D or it the graphics needs to be enabled to do so.
