I am new to using vtank, and I have a problem I can't seem to fix. As a crossboyer, I have my paradox olthoi xbow in items - it uses deadly piercing quarrels. If I have extras in my pack vtank will equip and use them, but it absolutely refuses to fletch them if I am out - just goes into combat/non combat/combat, etc. My skills are plenty high enough to fletch these quarrels, but it won't do it. Vtank does fletch other types of arrows if I have, say, my bludgeon xbow in items, but it won't for my paradox olthoi xbow. Help please?

vtank, check advanced options above the run macro.


uncheck all but crafting to bring up the crafting options only (less to scroll thru look at, I SURE as heck wish VI would make the advanced all options UNCHECKED as default)


click on useSpecialAmmo None to cycle thru the options for the type of fletching arrow you need.

I looked at that, but I'm not trying to make any specials - these are plain old deadly arrowheads - the ones that any good fletcher can make. I have auto-crafting turned on, and my skill is plenty high enough. Like i said, it will make other types of quarrels if I have a different xbow equipped, but it won't make anything when I have my paradox-olthoi xbow equipped.

Try going under the monster tab, and beside the default entry, toggle through and select the xbow for use, then beside it toggle through to piercing as the damage type. Im not in game so can't tell you the exact wording for these.


Probably what is happening is vtank is looking for blunt damage heads to use with this xbow. You need to force it to look for piercing ones.

I guess I finally found my answer. I looked in the file gameinfodb.ugd which seems to be where all the craftable items are listed, and there ar no entries for any kind or piercing ammo at all. What is listed is armor piercing arrowheads. I switched over to those and vtank is fletching just fine now.
