Greetings,

I've come back to AC and I've done a fresh install of Decal but I get the following error after decal's been loaded and I try to start AC:

This application has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I am using windows xp with every update available from MS.

http://www.decaldev.com/beta/ has some .xml and .dll files as updates but I'm not sure what to do with them, if anything.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

ready the sticky , first thread on this board it has a link to the d3dx9 install. which once dl'ed and run extracts 145 files into a folder of your choosing. these are mostly *.cab files. you need only run the DXSETUP.exe file (depending on OS, may have to run it as administrator).

Thanks, strange did a search for the fail log, but nothing came up.

You don't do anything with those files from the website.. if you hit Update inside of decal, it'll download all of the necessary updates for Decal.
