FPS lag / screen flickering with plugins open

With decal + lifetank x, when I open the plugin in game, I get weird screen flickering / distortion and fps lag. Is there a solution for this?

Update drivers (especially your video driver).
Do all of the windows updates.
Provide more information about your computer/software you're running (ie, Windows XP with SP2 on an AMD Athlon 3200+ with 1 GB of RAM).
And the final suggestion, don't use Lifetank, as it's no longer updated/supported?

Sorry, running windows 7 64 bit. I fixed the problem though... I tried running it in windowed mode and it works perfectly. Strange, but whatever!
