I have been taking an interest in salvaging as a means of making money and I have been wondering how to go about setting up up alinco3 right so that i get high value items to salvage instead of some being around like 5k (I would like a 10k min.) My friend has his setup but we couldn't figure out how they were different in grabbing the items. So does anyone know what settings I should use on grabbing materials?

I currently have my values for salvage work set to 8 since alinco doesn't seem to want to combine all salvage.

I have listed all hides, pyreal, gold, and silver as my salvage materials.

Side note, does it also loot rares?

You're looking in the wrong place to salvage for value. It's not a part of the Salvage tab.

On one of the other tabs, there's a place where you can set a minimum value of an item to loot. If you want it to salvage items that are being looted for value, there's an checkbox somewhere that you need to make sure is checked. I would be more specific, but it's been too long since I've looked through the Alinco tabs.

Yes, Alinco does loot rares. Where it has a problem is when you are using Alinco to loot with vtank. By itself, it works flawlessly.

Ah ok, makes sense. I know which tabs you are talking about, I shall try that out. Do you happen to know if it will combine all bags or if it will only combine certain workmanship? Also I was kind of curious about what happens if I find an item of higher value then what i list it as. I know there is a button underneath it (opposite the burden ratio) that says "Add to ust list" so I wasn't sure if that might be related.

You will really be much happier in the long run if you just spend a little time figuring out VTank Classic Looter. Unlike Alinco, it is fast, reliable, doesn't miss rares (if you set it up right), and will never salvage the armor you're wearing.

Spend the time, figure it out. You'll thank me later.

I actually setup a salvage profile with vtank today and was quite pleased. Although I dislike it for when I do a specific loot run because it screws up my fighting. So alinco 3 looting still has its benefits for me. I was not very fond of vtank because I wanted to setup a profile but not have to delete and remake the settings I had. Then while setting it up, I noticed the big button I disregarded so many times that says "Toggle this rule" so I became very happy <3
