I am installing and patching now! I have not played in a few years, is the latest expansion is still Throne of Destiny? I am looking for a allegiance who welcomes newcomers and can help me get back into the swing of things. I don't care what server I will be starting over with a new character. Any Takers?
I will be rolling a mage, can anyone point me at a good guide?

Even though I'm on MT I'd recommend either Frostfell or Darktide (if PK is your thing)
Those two servers have the highest populations and will be easiest to start over from.
I would post over on the servers boards as this one gets looked at pretty infrequently by most people.

I would try Looking up Character Templates
I am on Morningthaw also. Not sure where you landed, but many have returned to Morningthaw in the last year or so. Wherever you go, have FUN!
