almost got had by a java exploit earlier today from something on this board..i think.. prob an ad or something. i did not click on any links..
i was only here during the time it hit and it tried to kick off prog called windows system protection 2012...
initially it looked like java was trying to patch, then this thing popped up.
danger will robinson...!!
anyway, im pretty sure i beat it down as i got into system restore on a password protected admin account.
but at first it wouldnt give up task manager or msconfig or system restore.. oooo shiz...
but ya.. watch out... :0

Win Defender 2012 and the like are very bad news. Requires resetting some registry entries before you can do just about anything with your computer, including system restore, command line, etc. No fun.

there has been some sort of trojan/malware going around through google in the last month although i'm sure they're denying it. usually comes up as a confirmation window for something and if you click yes, which most people do without thinking to get rid of confirmation windows, you get the bug. its possible the bug is installing without even the confirmation click too, i'm really not sure of all the details. i just know its been showing up alot through people i know who work on large networks and have to deal with it constantly.
like someone else said though...i'm surprised if it was anything from here. i think theres only one ad that works here anymore
