OK that has me seriously excited. A real XCom sequel would be glorious and I think Firaxis could pull it off.

That was a pretty good game once upon a time I believe.

Faraxis could crap on a DVD and make a fun game. Hell, they did with Civ V for all intents.

I expect this to be awesome.

I still play the original and Terror From The Deep in DosBox.

I didn't even realize there were 5 of them and this is the 6th until I goggled it... jeebus, that's a lot of games I missed out on! Hope this one delivers!!!

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness,
starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the streets,
angelheaded hipsters burning for the ancient heavenly connection
to the starry dynamo in the machinery of night.

Yeah but they all weren't XCom in the classic sense. They tried a shooter and a couple other formats IIRC.

If you are a squad tactical/xcom fan though give the UFO series a shot (Afterlight is the latest one).

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

I got the XCOM complete pack on Steam for $0.99 about 2 years ago. Haven't really played it, it was more just for nostalgia.

Super pumped they are doing this.
