Yup I have an internet connection in my home but I do rent/buy games/music/tv etc.. why do I do this????

Should leave it up to me to determine what I support I like Dead Rising by Capcom I like Dead Space by EA so I pay for those games in the hopes that I can play more like them from the same companies.

I already watched He-Man in the 80's I already listened to Hardloor in 96 and I've already paid for it before why should I keep spending money over and over when the stuff isn't supported anymore and those media companies are pushing new products that I pay for.

I think it's stupid that media companies don't incorperate the internet into the TV packages and make thier money that way have things in nice organized boxs etc.

I would pay probably $20-$40 extra a month to be able to on-demand any old shows that were previously available on-demand is the way of the future if these dumbass corps can just figure that out.

Seriously people will stop pirating this profanity if you make it nice and easy to get it. We love creating we love shareing and we also are lazy people.

The main reason I pay for media is I can't stand trying to find legit copies then cracking them then fussing with them to get them to run, then keeping them updated to the latest patch and re-cracking them and wating around. I am lazy and I have enough money to indulge myself from time to time.

How is I-tunes/Hulu/Netflix doing well? By RIAA's standards none of those companies should have any users but they do some show record profits for the type of media they peddle as well now I find that odd.

The only TV programs I steal these days is the stuff that is banned in Canada from all this copyright fallout that's been going on and that's just because I don't feel it's right that I be denied on these grounds we are neighbors after all.

Don't forget we don't own most of our purchased software anyway. It's on license.

That's up for debate, just like Fair Use is open for debate no matter what a EULA says.

I wish EA was aware of that... they seem to just not care then.

Nice. I liked that he stressed that this isn't the end, it's just one more move by the industries to get our rights restricted.

their business paradigm is dying....and like all businesses that don't adapt they will die....

the best point the guy made is about sharing and the internet's role in that and how people are creating their own entertainment now and have less and less use for mediocre hollywood crap shoveled at us

independent game makers....netshows...music are the future...and it terrifies the big media groups as they claw and kick and scratch as they go under and sink....grabbing at anyone in hopes to save themselves and if not at least they can take them down as well
