Actually when I lived in Idaho, I was a member of the CAP.

It was a lot like the boy scouts, but a lot more military like.

i judged a competition they had once when i was stationed in ohio. it was kinda neat.

Were you a cadet or adult member? Any insight on how the pilot side of things worked?
