If anyone decides to and you are running Win7 64 bit, you have to:
Right click on BurnoutParadise.exe
Click on Compatibility - XP Service Pack 3 - And Run as an administrator
To make it run.

Meh, I would not really consider this one a "workaround", more like a very minor tweak, but to each their own. I was just happy I found a google link to make it work so I did not just throw 5 bucks away.
