Yeah that was always fun trivia to know when I was a kid.
I think he also did it in ep 1-3 which is surprising considering how much of those movies were CG.

not according to some interview of him I read a few days ago...was about the re-release in 3-D. he whined about how people complained how poor the prequels were and basically said "why would I do any more knowing they will do this".

One of his kids will pick it up for him after he dies.
edit: Based on episodes 1-3 all they have to do is call ILM and say "Ok. Make ep 7-9 happen." and they will have them made in 2 years without any help.
