went the other day for the first time sking for the year.


for those of you that don't know, this year for ski areas in NH, VT, MA and Yew York are really hurting. I havent heard but any ski area in ma or ct is probably dying. I heard that one big ski area near waterbury vermont has already burned out there snow making budget


so i went. didnt dare do the straight down black diamonds or even the intermediate strait down runs. as you were going up the lift you can see ice patches all over the place....


i stuck with the black diamond mongules. best place on the moutain to find the beutiful snow

Wachusett in MA makes a ton of snow...my kid has been a few times, but just going there i cringe at what it will do to his brand new board.

we went during christmas break to get his pass and there wasn't even enough snow to get 30 yards from the lodge.

they were expecting a huge year but our natural snow fall is a couple feet below normal.
