Being a big squad tactical fan and lover of the franchise I had to get it. For the die-hard fans it won't be good enough since it isn't classic turn based but I like the new real time with paused tactical options (similar to how the UFO After... franchise did it) so I'm enjoying it. A couple things I am not happy with though such as no fog of war (WTF, really and truly WTF) and limited camera controls which I find very irritating (can't even rotate that I can tell). Still early but I do like the feel of it and plan to play the heck out of it.
EDIT: You can rotate just not very intuitive, heh.

Loved the first one. Haven't tried this yet though.

Just released yesterday. Secured the airport and have been messing around a bit getting used to the squad combat dynamics. I do love the tacticals though... I ended up with a sneaky doc with a silenced machine pistol, a generic grunt with a 45 and shotgun and a military type with a SCAR-L. If she can't sneak up on it and kill it before anyone notices the guy with the SCAR-L can setup a ways away and draw them into an ambush with the shotgun and machine pistol. Can only afford three now so am pretty limited but am looking forward to fielding a full squad with sniper support and whatnot.

Why did they revert to 1990s graphics?

I wouldn't say revert really as none of the games in the franchise ever had high graphics. For a tactical I think it looks great but then I don't rate my games on graphics usually.

I didn't enjoy the Jagged Alliance series as much as I did the Commandos series.
