Acrobat Reader Issue: Help?
When at work, on my laptop, Acrobat reader works like a champ... but when I go home, if I want to open a PDF it takes a good 30-60 seconds before the PDF will open. I have no idea why.
The PDF's are on my machine, not on the net... it just takes awhile for the program to initialize and display.
Anyone have any ideas?

if i remember right that program had some sort of "helper" or quick startup feature that preloads on boot to make it load faster when you actually start the program. maybe its disabled or not installed with it on your home computer?
edit-
see if the same thing happens with foxit reader maybe just to see if its the program or the computer?

Yeah; it's driving me crazy... I've formatted and reinstalled and this issue persisted through it. The only difference is the network. At work I'm hard-wired; at home I'm wifi... but the files are on my PC ... soo... what gives lol

i suppose the program could check the network when it starts up for some reason...i'm at a loss for ideas other than that. did you try it with another program to see what happened?
