It is always best to soak beans, preferably overnight, before cooking them but how does that affect your bungus?

Soak well and discard soaking water: The indigestible
sugars dissolve in the soaking water, so use plenty of water and change
the soaking water once or twice. The Californian Dry Bean Advisory Board
recommends boiling the dry beans for a couple of minutes, then turning
off the heat and soaking overnight. Discard the soaking water, and cook
the beans in fresh water.

Hmm, I soak beans and then use the water as part of the recipe. Usually it comes out pretty good and I don't get gas issues unless I undercooked the beans.

Oh, I always pour out the soaking water and put fresh water in the crock pot for cooking.
