wtf.. does this annoy you?
I can understand showing highlights of the previous show so you can remember what happened or catch up.. but showing snippets of what is coming up after the commercial, every commercial makes me want to club a seal.

New trend? Ummm that is actually a sort of retro thing. A lot of classic shows used to do that, going back to the black and white era. It was extremely popular in the 1970's scifi shows (the Original BSG, Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, any of the Irwin Allen shows, plus the Gerry Anderson brit shows, etc) Some modern shows such as Battlestar Galactica revived it as part of a "cool retro" vibe, and like typical Hollywood lemmings, every other TV production followed suit.

What shows do this? Do you have to watch them on actual TV to see this?

That kind of thing bugged the hell out of me when I watched Face Off on Syfy...at every commercial break, they would show a spoiler of what was coming up, then after the commercial, they'd recap what had happened right before the commercial, as if you'd already forgotten after 2 minutes.

The scripts/links below don't work anymore...I should really change my signature:

it's called filler, the show may not have had enough advertising to fill the breaks or the show itself was not long enough to fill the requirements for the time slot
