I got a question about the audio aspect of the blu-ray player... Had to buy a dvd player since my mother kept insisting that the one she had was still in good condition. I was like, "Uh, you can't even open the damn tray to put the DVD in..." I told her, "I'm buying one tomorrow." Went to Best Buy (didn't want to wait for shipping, lol)... Found a $100 blu-ray player on sale for $70 and with my $15 gift certificate taking it down to $55 then $60 with tax. I thought it was a good deal so I bought the blu-ray player instead of a dvd player like I planned to. But anyway...
I tend to wear my hearing aid when watching movies so I'm not missing the non-speaking portions (forgot I was Deaf? lol)... I just watched THOR on Blu-Ray and was like, "Hmm, is the audio amplified?" I actually had to turn down my hearing aid's amplification level. Yay for digital hearing aids? lol
So, I guess my question is... when playing a blu-ray disc, leaving the volume on the TV alone, does the audio tend to be amplified or is it just my weird imagination?
The Blu-Ray player is connected via HDMI cable to the TV, if that helps any... There is no other connections between the player and the tv...
