I'm assuming you want an external?

I'd get one with better reviews...although I guess you can't expect much better with a 2TB...The larger the capacity, the less reliable they are typically. compare reviews and prices with newegg for other drives as well...newegg's reviews will be more likely to come from people who actually know something about the product, where Amazon is more likely to have the casual customer. maybe tigerdirect.com too.

and you might want to edit your post...if I'm not mistaken, your word choice is frowned upon.

Thanks, I want to ensure reliability so 2 TB is overkill. I'm not a prick so I'm not going to be filling it with pirated movies and TV shows.

I've taken to hammering bits into stone slabs. SSD's are supposed to be the next fad.

If you want reliability I wouldn't get anything over 1 Tb and the suggestion to check reviews on NewEgg is spot on. Much better tech advice there than Amazon. Typically that is plenty of room anyway.

Go to papyrus... SSD is way too new a tech to rely on.

So quick to judge...have you checked to make sure you're not living in a glass house?

Not unless you count porn. But porn is such a horrid and contemptible industry, so why not stick it to the porn man? (pun intended)
