Scenario...

70 year old is told that he is being denied expensive operation/drug Y that in their estimation would give them 5 years of life instead of 2 years of life... Thing is that estimation is because it is the only thing that actually had a chance of curing what they have and the treatment they will get will be only palliative....

Said old person goes on a shooting rampage against government officials -- or a relative of said old person....

leading to

Controls on old people who are told there is nothing the health care system will do for them because they are not worth the expense.

Medical death panels only exist in the minds of Americans.

Then after an Oatmeal Cranberry and Double Chocolate,
it made my new vagina spontaneously sing the Trolololo Song in an elevator.

There are no death panels. There are intelligent, reasonable, and rational decisions to not waste hundreds of thousands of dollars on futile care for people with no quality of life or hope of recovery. We complain about our costs and outcomes when the real damage is done by pursuing maximally aggressive care in futile cases...

LOL @ anyone who thinks that our government can accomplish this. Oh, and what you've described is a death panel.
